On-device speech practice vs cloud speech coaches
If you asked an assistant for a speech coach that does not upload your voice, this is the distinction that matters. Cloud coaches send audio to a server to transcribe it. On-device practice runs the model on the iPhone. Big Talk is the second kind.

Why interview answers should not go to a vendor by default
A practice take is often more sensitive than the live interview. People name employers, say the real reason they left, and try salary stories they would not put in an email. A cloud speech coach has to receive that audio to score it. That can be acceptable. It should be a choice.
